This hybrid of true and spike lavender grows at low altitude. It is cultivated in France, Italy and Spain. As a general rule and depending on the variety, the yield of hybrid lavenders may be up to ten times higher than that of true lavender.
Main aromatic molecules: Monoterpenols (linalool), terpene esters (linalyl acetate), monoterpene ketones (camphor), terpene oxides (1,8-cineole or eucalyptol).
Family: Lamiaceae.
Producing organs: Flowering tops.
Yield: 2 to 3kg of essential oil per 100kg of flowers.
