Thyme Linalool (thymus vulgaris linaloliferum)

This highly branched shrub originating from the Mediterranean basin loves dry, rocky soil and, as everyone knows, the sun!
It produces delicate white-pink flowers. It is propagated by dividing clumps in spring or by summer cuttings. It can grow at altitudes of up to 2,000 metres.


Main aromatic molecules: Monoterpenols (linalool, terpinen-4-ol, borneol), monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, terpene esters.
Family: Lamiaceae.
Producing organs: Flowering aerial parts.
Yield: 75 to 125g of essential oil per 100kg of plants.
Equivalence: 1ml → 29 drops (dosage calculated for a calibrated dropper European Pharmacopoeia).
