Description
This Organic Vegetable Oil Calendula* is the result of macerating orange Organic Calendula petals in Organic Sunflower Oil extracted by 1st cold pressing.
Before maceration, to protect the carotenoids which are sensitive to oxidation, Organic Rosemary extract is added to the Sunflower Oil. The petals are immersed in this mixture for 4 to 6 weeks and stirred regularly. After maceration, the Calendula petals are extracted and the macerate filtered.
Calendula petal macerate is renowned for its soothing, protective and repairing properties. It is ideal for caring for the most sensitive and reactive skin (baby care, sun-damaged skin, razor burn, chapping, itching, etc.).
This Calendula macerate is recognised the world over for its softening and firming properties and for keeping the skin hydrated.
Dark yellow to orange-yellow in colour, it has a floral and slightly bitter fragrance. Oily liquid in appearance, it is neither dry nor viscous to the touch, making it very pleasant to use.
Native to the sunny regions of southern Europe, calendula is produced in many countries, including Europe and Egypt for Puressentiel's production.
