Respect for our ecosystems, a natural commitment for Puressentiel
The preservation of natural resources, respect for biodiversity and continuous improvement are our priorities. Our eco-designed products have a reduced impact throughout their life cycle, and make the economy more circular.

Sound agricultural practices and rigorous selection of our raw
For the cultivation of our plants, we work with respectful and reasoned growers. Picking and harvesting are carried out with respect for biodiversity and ecosystems, and are in line with the good agricultural practices and good harvesting practices defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Puressentiel systematically favours raw materials that are certified Organic, UEBT or Fair for Life for their ethical and sustainable guarantee in terms of respect for workers' rights and preservation of the environment.

The use of by-products
We are always careful to recycle all waste from our production. production.
Here are a few examples:
- The Lemon peel used to extract our Organic essential oil will also be reused by our producer to feed animals or make pectin, juice and pulp for fruit juices or food.
- Our Organic Atlas Cedar essential oil is distilled from sawdust and wood waste used for cabinet-making. This wood comes from a sustainably managed forest.
So these co-products don't deserve the name "waste", because we give them a second life in the form of another use or another equally noble product.
Some of our raw materials are themselves co-products, since we recover "noble plant waste" from the production of other industries in order to give them a second life!

Eco-design
Each and every one of our products is eco-designed, as part of our ongoing quest for innovation.
At every stage in the life of our products, we think about eco-design: sourcing ingredients and packaging items, formulation, manufacturing, distribution, right through to use and end of life.
Limiting the use of plastic, making materials lighter and favouring the choice of materials that can be recycled at the end of their life are all criteria used in product design.
Our teams and partners are constantly seeking solutions to encourage the use of renewable and sustainably managed resources, with the watchword: Reduce, Recycle, Reuse.
By adopting an eco-design approach, we are committed to developing products that respect the environment, while guaranteeing their efficiency and quality.

The circular economy
The AGEC law (Anti-Waste for a Circular Economy) is a French law aimed at reducing waste and promoting a circular economy, and guides us in our product design.
Puressentiel also follows European rules: Climate and Resilience Law, The European Green Pact for a Circular Economy, Regulation (EU) n°2023/1115 for the fight against imported deforestation, Regulation (EU) n°2024/1781 on eco-design, Directive n°2024/825 on misleading claims, Green Claims Regulation, Regulation on packaging and packaging waste PPWR, EU Directive on waste water treatment.

Responsible logistics
Transporting our products is unavoidable if they are to reach our customers!
True to its N.D.A., Puressentiel takes concrete action to limit its impact and greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible, for example by limiting the number of kilometres travelled by its products and by optimising their transport and packaging.
Puressentiel asks each of its logistics partners to apply high social and environmental standards, in line with international standards such as ISO 14001 for environmental management. We ask our partners to favour rail or sea transport and electric or hybrid vehicles, to group shipments together and to optimise routes.
For raw materials sourced outside Europe, we pool transport to reduce our carbon footprint.
