Niaouli essential oil: benefits and uses

What are the main properties of niaouli essential oil?
Niaouli essential oil has multiple virtues. Similar to eucalyptus radiata, niaouli stimulates the immune system and treats sinusitis and rhinitis. As a healing agent, niaouli essential oil protects and restores the skin (including after a radiotherapy session if used with with aloe vera gel), and is antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial and antimycotic. As a circulatory tonic, it decongests heavy legs, varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
How to use niaouli essential oil?
As niaouli essential oil is rich in terpenes and eucalyptol, it’s extremely important that its dosage be respected. use with caution, as if you use continuously for more than a few days, there may be a risk of drug interference.

Who is niaouli contraindicated for?
Niaouli essential oil should not be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women, by children under 7 years of age, by people allergic to essential oils, by asthmatics without the advice of an allergist, in prolonged use by people with weak kidneys, by people with epilepsy or a history of convulsive disorders. This essential oil is said to be oestrogen-like, i.e., its action (close to that of oestrogen) is due to the presence of viridiflorol in niaouli.
How to treat infections with niaouli essential oil?
Eucalyptus radiata and niaouli essential oils are both useful for lowering fever and clearing the respiratory tract. Niaouli essential oil is an anti-viral and respiratory mucus thinner, and acts against the multiplication of a virus and calms runny noses, coughs, and lowers fever. Niaouli is also an effective essential oil against ear infections.
Colds - stuffy nose

Wet inhalation Add 1 drop of niaouli essential oil and 1 drop of thujanol thyme essential oil and dilute them in a bowl of simmering water. Breathe in deeply for 5 – 10 minutes, morning and evening, for 5 days. From 12 years+. |

Massage Mix 1 drop of tea tree essential oil and 1 drop of niaouli OR eucalyptus essential oil with a small amount of shea butter. Massage into the frontal sinuses (along the eyebrows, taking care not to get it in the eyes) 3 times a day, for 8 days. From 7 years+. How to relieve the sensation of heavy legs with naturally?
As a venous and lymphatic decongestant, niaouli essential oil can be combined with other essential and vegetable oils to relieve the sensation of heavy legs.
In a 50ml bottle, mix 40 drops of cypress essential oil, 40 drops of mastic tree essential oil, 20 drops of peppermint essential oil, and 40 drops of niaouli essential with 5ml of calophylla vegetable oil. Top up the bottle with hazelnut vegetable oil, right to the top. Apply this mixture by massaging upwards from the ankle to the knee. Suitable for adults only.
