While essential oils treat bodily ailments, they also relieve the mind and regulate emotional ups and downs... Here is a brief guide to help you make yourself feel better, when you need it.

To help overcome anxiety

Roman chamomile calms anxiety and shocks to the nervous system.

How? Blend 2 drops of Roman chamomile essential oil + 5 drops of sweet almond plant oil, gently massaging into the solar plexus. You can also inhale directly from the bottle, as often as needed.

To calm feelings of anger

Marjoram is the “zen queen”: it calms and rebalances the mind, and reduces mood disorders.

How? Massage 5 drops of marjoram essential oil + 15 drops of sweet almond plant into the solar plexus and plantar arch whenever you feel anger coming on, or twice a day (morning and midday) during periods of conflict.

To reduce anxiety

Sweet orange restores balance to the nervous system. It dissipates anxiety, agitation and palpitations. How? Drop 2 drops on a sugar cube, 1 spoonful of honey, or a neutral tablet each morning, and repeat as necessary. If you still feel anxious, repeat at midday and in the evening (do not repeat more than twice daily).

To overcome physical fatigue

Compact oregano is a comforting, revitalising and stimulating agent, especially good after a “tough blow”.

How? Place 1 drop of compact oregano essential oil on a sugar cube, neutral tablet or spoonful of honey, 3 times per day, for 1 week.

To regain confidence in your skills before a challenging experience (exams, job interview, etc.)

Bay laurel provides psychological support, builds fortitude and mental strength in the face of challenges.

How? Take 1 drop of bay laurel essential oil on a sugar cube or neutral tablet and massage 3 drops into the skin just above the bellybutton, before a challenging experience, but no more than 2 or 3 times per day, and for a maximum of 3 consecutive days.

To ward off stress

Petitgrain bigarade has a tranquillising, relaxing effect. It calms all nervous imbalances.

How? Three or 4 times per day, inhale a blend of 2 drops of petitgrain bigarade essential oil diluted in 2 drops of sweet almond plant oil placed on the inside of your wrists.
