Hair is only beautiful when it is healthy. When sad and dull, it is not only unattractive, it is also unhealthy. Not only is shiny hair beautiful, it reflects the good health of the person who wears it. Hair is fragile; it does not take kindly to rough treatment and the chemicals in dyes can cause damage. On the other hand, aromatherapy, which is admirably tolerated, never causes damage, in keeping with the wise principle of the Ancients: "Primum non nocere". ('First do no harm')
OILY HAIR
If your hair sticks and shines in a way that has nothing in common with a silky shine, it is too greasy. Wash it daily and finish off the excess oil with a mild or clay shampoo.
Reduce excess sebum secretion by massaging the entire scalp for one minute with a mixture of 2 drops of lemon oil + 1 drop of cypress essential oil + a small amount of shampoo. Rinse and repeat the process.
or
3 drops of tea tree EO, 3 drops of Himalayan cedar EO, 3 drops of palmarosa EO. Pour the essential oils into a bottle of mild shampoo and mix.
DRY HAIR
Dry hair is recognisable by its hay-like appearance. Its scales spread and intercept light, making it dull.
Nourish it by applying 5 drops of thyme linalool or ylang ylang essential oil diluted in 1 tablespoon of argan vegetable oil.
DANDRUFF
Specific treatments will help to get rid of this fine desquamation of an oily scalp, accompanied by scabs and itching.
Get rid of this painful desquamation by adding 2 drops of tea tree essential oil + 2 drops of Atlas cedar or geranium to your usual shampoo.
HAIR LOSS
Age, illness, stress, pregnancy and childbirth can cause hair loss, which can be stopped by using essential oils.
Strengthen your hair by adding 2 drops of fresh ginger and lemongrass essential oil to your usual dose of shampoo
or
Massage the scalp before shampooing with 10 drops of rosemary camphor essential oil mixed with a tablespoon of vegetable oil (or 3 drops of essential oil for 4 drops of vegetable oil).
HAIR SHINE
Pollution, an unbalanced diet and stress tarnish the appearance of your hair. Thanks to essential oils, you can make it shiny.
Add 1 drop of ylang-ylang to your usual dose of shampoo and leave in for a minute. If your hair is dry, add 1 drop of clary sage essential oil.
