Commitment to the Environment
Our Pure Quality Charter defines the sourcing requirements for raw materials in a way that respects nature, as well as the women and men who cultivate it. Puressentiel is committed to preserving the environment as a whole: safeguarding ecosystems, biodiversity, and natural resources, as well as protecting villages, families, and farmers. We ensure that no crop is exploited to the point of endangerment: no deforestation, no uprooting; we respect the CITES* list; and we plan plantations several years ahead of potential use.
Puressentiel’s eco-responsible and socially supportive commitment also includes the selection of renewable raw materials and partners (production plants, packaging suppliers, distribution platforms, transporters…) involved in CSR initiatives (reducing water usage, waste reduction, etc.), consolidating goods for shipment, avoiding air transport whenever possible (reducing our carbon footprint), and reusing barrels and containers.
Whether it’s cultivation, manufacturing, product delivery, reuse, or recyclability, every step of our products’ eco-design is governed by our 100% responsible and supportive ethics, outlined in our Pure Quality Charter.
The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, known as CITES or the Washington Convention, is an international agreement between states. Its purpose is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival.
Commitment to Human Rights
Puressentiel's approach ensures full and fair respect for local communities and the protection of children's and workers' rights.
Our plant-based raw materials come from all over the world, sometimes from countries or regions where stable and regular employment is scarce and access to healthcare and education is limited.
We rigorously select our partners to ensure respect for fundamental human rights, including the exclusion of discrimination, forced labor, and child exploitation.
Puressentiel has implemented its own ethical and responsible purchasing charter, Pure Quality, which all suppliers must adhere to, with strict audits.
This selective sourcing approach makes procurement more complex and sometimes more expensive. However, we are extremely vigilant, and when we cannot conduct local checks ourselves, we engage independent audit agencies, such as Veritas.
Solidarity Commitment
As part of a fair, supportive, and responsible approach that respects human beings, Puressentiel has supported numerous causes and associations with shared values since its founding.
All of Puressentiel’s associative partnerships are brought together under the Puressentiel Foundation, whose mission is the protection of nature, childhood, and health… for "Living Better Together, Naturally."
The Puressentiel Foundation is active worldwide. It contributes to preserving plant heritage and biodiversity (reforestation, planting endemic trees, support for beekeepers). It also protects families by facilitating access to water, healthcare, and education for underprivileged children.

This support is expressed through various actions, such as:
- Solidarity campaigns on the website (e.g. €1 donated by Puressentiel for every order placed)
- Partner-led initiatives
- Internal collections of clothing and used toys in working condition for Christmas
- Donations of used IT equipment in good condition for repurposing
- Product contributions for sporting and/or charity challenges
These are just some of the actions that support the ongoing work of the Puressentiel Foundation and shape the daily life of Puressentiel and its employees.
