Essential oils are sensitive and should not be heated, otherwise they lose their virtues and release toxic volatile compounds. It is therefore advisable to diffuse them cold or with gently heated. Several types of diffusers are available, but how do you choose THE right device?
Nebulisation, misting, gentle heat, ventilation: all the methods have their own specificities and benefits, but you must choose a method of diffusion according to the size of the room in which you will diffuse essential oils.
If possible, choose a timer system set to stop after one hour and an alternate diffusion mode.

There are also diffusion pebbles made of Limoges ceramics or solid wood to be impregnated with essential oils. They are very convenient for perfuming and/or disinfecting small places (wardrobes, cupboards, drawers, cars, luggage, toilets, bathrooms...). You just have to put a few drops of essential oil, and renew when necessary or whenever you wish! For a capillary diffuser, you need to place the stick(s) into an essential oil and allow the liquid to be absorbed so it can be released into the surrounding air through evaporation.
