From raw material to finished product, traceability guaranteed by our Puressentiel Pure Quality Charter
Responsible sourcing is at the heart of our DNA. We ensure the traceability of our supply chains by making a long-term commitment to our trusted partners in a fair trade relationship. The fair sharing of value helps to promote a fair economy and the development of local communities. We give priority to short supply chains.

The Puressentiel Pure Quality Charter
This is the Responsible and Ethical Purchasing Charter that each of our partners must sign. It defines our societal values as well as our social and environmental, quality and regulatory requirements. It refers to the ISO 26000 standard. It provides a framework for good sourcing practices and constraints in terms of respect for human rights and the environment, circular economy practices and fair trade.

Increasingly fair trade
We work daily to promote fair trade and ensure that value is shared fairly in order to promote the development of communities and the local economy, the perpetuation of know- how and the empowerment of individuals, by making a long- term commitment to our long-standing partners.
The Puressentiel Laboratory works closely with its suppliers and essential oil producers throughout the world. To protect their interests with the public authorities, the Puressentiel Laboratory is a member of various associations such as EFEO (European Federation of Essential Oil) and IFEAT (International Federation of Essential oil and Aroma Trades).

Respectful sourcing
- By ensuring a purchase price above the market price.
- By supporting producers from low-income areas.
- By making a long-term commitment to our community of producers.
- By preserving and perpetuating local know-how to help them improve their quality of life and build a sustainable future for themselves and their
families. - By favouring partnerships with suppliers committed to a fair trade approach certified by Fair for Life, UEBT, SEDEX, etc.
- By favouring partnerships with French cooperatives to guarantee local and
ethical production. The cooperative system pays producers more fairly and gives farmers a voice.

Assessed suppliers
To assess the CSR performance of all our suppliers, we chose to work with Ecovadis, one of the world's leading CSR performance assessment organisations.
Following this Ecovadis assessment, we have strengthened our internal annual evaluation. Each year, we assess the environmental and social performance of our suppliers and subcontractors and share the results with them in order to maintain our high standards and commitment over time.

Sustainable sourcing
We favour short circuits by limiting the number of intermediaries in order to guarantee the origin of our raw materials and ensure the highest level of traceability and quality.
When these volumes are too low, we buy via rigorously selected traders, in order to optimise transport and our carbon footprint.

Made in France
The majority of our products are manufactured in the factories of our long-standing industrial partner Fareva, a key company in the French industrial fabric specialising in the packaging of organic and natural pharmaceutical and cosmetic products and based, among other places, in the heart of the Drôme, a pioneering department for organic products.
This long-term partnership enables us to work hand in hand to improve production practices and reduce our environmental footprint.
Everything that Puressentiel cannot produce in France is produced in the rest of Europe. This is motivated by the quest for specific expertise and know-how.

Traceable sourcing
We select our plant raw materials directly from their place of origin, respecting their seasonality and the endemicity of the plant. The close links we maintain with our producers give us a better understanding of their methods and enable us to support the local economy.
By choosing local producers who adopt sustainable practices, we preserve water resources in particular.
These partnerships, based on organic and regenerative production, also reduce the use of pesticides and promote soil health and biodiversity, thereby helping to preserve the environment.
Whenever possible, we support French and European crops.
